The Q-Drum, which is a water transportation container shaped like a tire, is an innovative solution that allows a woman to transport 10 times the amount of water than she could normally carry simply by rolling the device.

The majority of our women walk for at least 2 hours, twice a day to collect water from dirty rivers and they do not treat the water before drinking.

Rural women and their families suffer from many water-borne illnesses such as diarrhoea and cholera. Clean water is essential for HIV/AIDS treatments. Gone Rural boMake is giving high priority to the establishment of at least one source of water for each one of the 13 communities that we work with.
